Kindergarten!

Schultuete

I made each of the girls a schultuete, a German tradition, for the first day of school.

It was filled with school supplies and a few treats. Meg and Katie had fun opening them at the breakfast table.

Farewell to Friends

We had a wonderful time with our friends who came all the way from Ohio to visit us.
Emma, Katie, Meg, and Ethan had so much fun playing together,

eating treats,

watching trains,

and roasting marshmallows (flowers) over a "campfire".

Water Fun

Today we went to Red Rock Crossing. It was a beautiful, warm day - perfect for playing in the water. The kids had a blast and didn't want to stop-even for lunch.

Rain Again

We woke up to loud thunderstorms during the night and the rain continued to fall all morning. Jen and I decided to load up the kids and head to Bearizona.

The animals didn't seem to mind the rain.... we saw plenty of bears, baby bears, wolves, bison, and sheep.

Isn't Ethan just the cutest??

AZ Tourists

We are having a wonderful time with our dear friends from Ohio, whom we haven't seen in 3 1/2 years! We're having fun doing all of the touristy things. Today we had a picnic lunch in the mountains and rode the skyride to the top (almost) of Arizona.
