Daddy's little helpers

We got another 5 inches of snow overnight so the girls decided to help me this morning when it was time to shovel. They enjoyed picking up the "snowballs" that Mr. Plow left behind.

Shoveling is easier when you have help.

Running in circles

The girls were snowed in ALL day today. It hasn't stopped snowing since this morning and they got a bit stir crazy.

A Very Good Day

It was a very good day today. First, we went to the bakery and they still had our favorite Chocolate Brioche so we had a wonderful morning snack. If you come for a visit we will definitely get there early so you can try one.

After our snack we went sledding and played in the snow at a friend's house. Meg made a bunch of snow angels and both girls played in some holes we dug in the snow. Yes, that is Meg alone on the sled. I don't think she has forgotten the last time we went sledding but she tried it again anyway.

After the fun in the snow we drove a few minutes south and went hiking with some friends. The girls were in the backpacks today so we covered quite a bit more ground than when they are walking.

That was then, this is now

Katie and Meg got these chewy, squeaky giraffes back when they were teething. The giraffes were given the name "Sophie." Above is a picture of them from what seems like a lifetime ago.

Below is a video of the girls from this morning. My how things have changed...

Stunt girl

Katie and Meg enjoy jumping a LOT. They will leap from anything! Katie has developed a landing technique that I think they teach in skydiving school...

Hiking again

It was in the 30s here this weekend so we headed south for a short hike. It was only in the 50s but it was nice to get out. Katie and Meg enjoyed climbing the big rocks and playing in the sand of a dry stream bed.
