Our little readers

Jenn gave the girls some light reading after breakfast the other day. It is surprising how long they will thumb through a book before getting bored.

I'm also a good reader... Sometimes the girls will join me for a story. They usually only sit with me one at a time, we aren't sure why but they don't always like to share mom or dad's lap.

Mmmmm, toes...

I put the girls in their seats to eat this morning but before I could get their trays on they found something to munch on...

Wear your sunscreen!!!

This post is a little different from most. It's more of a Public Service Announcement than our typical postings. I had a recurrence of Basal Cell Carcinoma removed last week. It is cancerous but it is the least serious of the 3 types of skin cancer. 18 years in the AZ sun with quite a few sunburns set me up for more of these in the future.

Remember to keep your kiddies covered with good sunscreen!

H2O Fun

Jenn sent the following story and pictures to me at work on Thursday...

After the girls had been playing a while, Meg reached for a toy at the opposite end of the water table. She couldn’t reach it, but instead of walking around, she decided to climb up into the water. I think she was a little surprised that she made it at first, and then she seemed to like it. Katie wasn't phased and continued to play around Meg. I set the camera down, and took Meg out to take off her dress, which was soaked. She immediately wanted back on top of the table. She sat in the water (in her diaper) and played. Katie started to give it a try, but decided not to. Meg wasn't up there long before she started getting cold, so I took both girls inside. They were not very happy!!

Tired girls

We went to a farmers market in one of the old downtown areas near us today.
We put the girls in the backpack carriers and roamed the different stands. We only bought a loaf of bread but I think the girls had fun. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of them at the market, only on the way home after they had both konked out...

Fearless climbers

Well, it seems that we have a couple of climbers. The following pictures tell a little story from the other day. Scroll through to see how it happened.

The girls are able to get onto and off of the couches on their own now. It was very cute at first. But now they are getting comfortable with the couch and looking for the next adventure...

We have a sofa table behind the couch that looked very interesting to the girls. So they decided to try and see what they could find.

Hmmm, maybe we need some incentives. The binkies should do just fine.

So over the back of the couch they went. Meg had a little trouble but they both ended up on the table. Don't worry Mom was close by.

After a couple of minutes Mom decided that the table was not going to stay behind the couch. Here are the pictures of the girls as the table was being carried away.

Fathers day gift

It may be a little hard to see, but this is one of the gifts the the girls (and Jenn) gave me for father's day. Isn't it great? Those 3 girls can get awfully creative while I'm at work...
