Organic Girls

I'm going to brag about Jenn in this post. She is a wonderful mom and takes amazing care of the girls. One of the special ways she is looking out for them is their diet. Except for the formula they drink, everything else is organic. Jenn makes all their food and takes the time to make sure it is all organic. She shops for sales to make it as inexpensive as possible too.

Here is a sample of the finger foods the girls had for lunch today. There are pears, avocado, sweet potatoes, and chicken.

Once the finger foods are gone the girls get some blueberries for "dessert." The blue comes off in the bathtub but they have blue hands for the rest of the day...

After all the eating is finished the girls get to drink from their straw cups. They sometimes get a little mixed up about how they work but get it figured out eventually.

The Sherpa

Katie woke up before Meg today so I was going to take her to Trader Joe's to get some groceries. Before I could get out the door Meg woke up and I figured out a way to take them both into the store and still be able to push the cart. We didn't end up going but they seemed to like the arrangement.

Wrestling

The girls are starting to get ticklish and enjoy "wrestling" on the floor. They haven't figured out how to double up yet but I'm sure they will get tired of tag-teaming and gang up on me soon.

Move over Danica!!!

Well, after 6 years with the Miata is it finally time to get a few more seats in the garage... I think the girls like their new ride, they seemed to take to the wheel pretty quickly. Just look at how well Katie is backing down the driveway.

Now Katie is a little more focused on the camera than the driving. We will have to sit down and go over those rules again.

When they do the human interest story on Meg for the Indy 500 I think they will refer to that as "cutting her teeth."

"I love it Daddy, give me the keys!"

Sleepy girl

Meg likes to stand or sit up in her crib before she falls asleep for her naps. Friday she must have still been sitting up when she finally fell asleep. It is difficult to see in the picture but she is basically slumped over on herself.

Mirror Image

The girls sometimes arrive in poses that surprise us. Saturday afternoon they were playing the mirror game.

We're back

Well, its been quite a month since my last post. The girls have been fighting everything from Bronchiolitis to ear infections (which cleared up WITHOUT antibiotics) and I have been working way too much to think about posting at the end of the day. Some of the highlights from the past few weeks are shown below...

When we are holding the girls they seem like they are getting so BIG. This picture reminds me that they aren't that big just yet. Meg is on the move though and its only a matter of time before the girls are asking for the car keys...

Here are a few more highlights from the past month.

Katie has started sticking her tounge out when she is concentrating or focusing on something. Have you seen anything so cute before?

Meg started climbing as soon as she got the crawling thing figured out. I think this is her ballerina practice. She is pretty fearless and will hold on to things with one hand for quite a while.

Since Katie isn't quite crawling yet she likes to ride in the wagon while Meg "pushes." They like to laugh at each other while they play this way.
