Chick Update
The chicks are almost 3 weeks old and growing rapidly. They are a funny mess of fluff and feathers. On warm days they enjoy a little outside time in the backyard. Katie and Meg watch the skies for hawks and try to get the chicks to follow them around the yard.

New Additions
and added 4 chicks to our family. Yes, really! We are going to keep chickens in our backyard.
We chose 2 Black Star pullets and 2 Barred Rock pullets. They'll soon live in a cozy coop in our backyard and by the end of summer they'll be supplying us with fresh eggs.
