Fun With Cousins

Ellie and Ashlyn came to visit us this week. Our house was filled with lots and lots of giggling.



We went to the petting zoo with Grandma S.

The girls enjoyed the goats, but they weren't too fond of the aggressive deer looking for food.

FIRST RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got Katie and Meg new pedal bikes for their birthday last month. We have been working on riding without training wheels. They seem to have "gotten" it. Sunday night was the first legitimate ride without any help from us.

Good helpers

I was doing some work on the car this weekend when Katie and Meg decided they wanted to help. I sometimes wear work gloves when working on the car so they went and found their mittens and climbed under the car with me.

Oral Surgery Day

5:30 AM On the way to the oral surgeon's office for 6:00 AM surgery

5:30 PM Back at home... no complaints of pain, just a little swelling and bruising

"Mountain" biking

I took Katie and Meg for their first "mountain bike" ride today. There is a nice 1 mile loop near the house that is pretty flat and not too rocky so we loaded up the bikes and went mountain biking. The girls had a good time, they liked the downhill parts more than the uphill...
On the way back to the car they found their first horned toad and had a wonderful time holding, petting, and squeezing him. I think they played with that little guy for 20 minutes. He moved fast when we found him but slowed down a LOT by the time we left.
