Katie and Meg are 4 today!

"Mountain" biking

I took Katie and Meg for their first "mountain bike" ride today. There is a nice 1 mile loop near the house that is pretty flat and not too rocky so we loaded up the bikes and went mountain biking. The girls had a good time, they liked the downhill parts more than the uphill...
On the way back to the car they found their first horned toad and had a wonderful time holding, petting, and squeezing him. I think they played with that little guy for 20 minutes. He moved fast when we found him but slowed down a LOT by the time we left.

Kind of scary

Katie and Meg found a new place for their babies and animals last week. They have a trundle bed and like to play under the higher one when the low one is pulled out. We were getting them ready for bed one night and couldn't find any of their "friends".
Then we looked under the bed...

Happy Spring!

In our family we do all of the secular Easter traditions on the first day of Spring. I'm finally getting around to posting a few pictures of the girls enjoying their egg hunt and Spring baskets.

Salad Table

Last weekend Erin and the girls built a salad table for me. We'll plant our seeds next month and hope to grow some delicious salad fixings.

Petting Zoo

We went to a petting zoo today with some friends. Katie, below, and Meg thought it was fun to pet the deer and goats. They didn't really enjoy feeding them. The deer were a little too aggressive when food was around.
