TWO MILES!!!!!!

I took Katie and Meg for a hike today. It was snowing at home so we drove south a few miles. It was still cold but they had a great time. I showed them the "mountain" we were going to hike to and they stated "we want to climb high so we can see for miles and miles." I got them both Camelbacks for Christmas and they were a big hit, it was nice not to stop every 3 minutes to give them a drink from mine. When all was said and done we had hiked a little over 2 miles, they did great.

Christmas Eve

Grandma S made the girls some new hats and coats for the winter.
Here they are "modeling" their new duds.
I tried to get the pictures towards the end of a long day so they weren't really up for posing (or simling).

Aren't these the cutest coats ever?

Snowy fun

It was bright and sunny today so we played outside some more.

Meg enjoyed climbing her "mountain"

The girls also made a snowman with Grandma H.
I don't think I will be getting my green shoveling hat back...

Helpers

I found some kid sized shovels at Target. The girls were out with me for TWO HOURS this morning playing with their new shovels.

Sledding

Katie and Meg have been begging to go sledding. Last week they invented their own way to sled without snow. A little bubble wrap, some stairs, and a dose of 3 year old creativity is all it takes.

Sailboats...

Katie and Meg were watching cartoons in their "sailboats" this morning.

The pictures don't do it justice...

This afternoon while I prepped dinner, Katie and Meg told me they were going to "make a robot". After about 15 minutes, they excitedly called me to "Come and see our robot!"
