Parade!

We went to the Fourth of July parade yesterday. Katie and Meg had a good time, especially once they realized that people were giving out candy. We let them have a few pieces, ate some ourselves and "lost" the rest. They also enjoyed the horses, dogs and fire trucks.

Here are the girls sharing the last of their candy. At least they are sharing right?

Working in the yard

I finally buzzed the new lawn with my push mower this weekend. Katie and Meg decided that they were going to help out. I just need to get some real blades on their mowers and I'm set. The yard is almost done. Grandpa S. helped out a lot today and planted 30 or so plants, I just need to get the drip system installed and the mulch down and its done!

Driving at Legoland

There is a mini track for kids 3-5 at Legoland. The kids get to drive little cars that look like Legos and have a Volvo grill on them (great product placement).

Katie and Meg need some more practice before we let them loose on the road... Meg did have a friend that helped her get around the track.

I didn't get it recorded but Katie only "drove" a few yards further when she hit the curb. When she was done she said "I hit something and it made a noise."

Scripps aquarium

The girls had fun at the aquarium.

A few more pictures from Legoland. The girls had a great time riding the rides and looking at all of the Lego creations.
